In this PoC project, we wanted to utilise a 3D city model in the cityscape review of the Building Control planning permission process. A building information model is possible to embed into an existing 3D city model. In this way, we can see how the building would fit into the cityscape and the surrounding nature when built. The combined 3D city model can be used, for example, in support of an individual project planning permission process, in consultation with neighbours, and in supporting decision-making.
