Baby and family positive initiative – Supporting families video
This video from September 2020 presents the Baby Friendly Initiative by Helsinki's maternity and child health clinic and family work from the customers' viewpoint. During the visits to the child welfare clinic, topics such as becoming a family, parenthood, the baby and nutrition of a suckling child are discussed. The clinical practices, according to the Baby Friendly Initiative, are considered as the core of maternity and child health clinics' work. Our objective in the maternity and child health clinic and family work is to support each family's individual growth towards parenthood, building a maternal bond as well as supporting breast feeding and discussing infant nutrition.
