The goal of this PoC was to bring the 2D register of public areas, which includes infrastructure assets such as streets and green areas, into the 3D city model. Thus, this 3D data can serve as a starting point for planning, development, and maintenance. This also enables new types of 3D analyses; for example, we can estimate the amount of solar radiation and shading and identify streets that are prone to freezing.
